Research lines

Imaging Core

The Imaging Core focuses on structural imaging of the human body in a fine-grained approach. This includes high-dimensional imaging markers, consisting of millions of variables describing organ structure. We have a strong focus on brain imaging, but also work with whole-body MRI and CT scanning.

Omics Core

The Omics Core uses high-throughput assessments of biological molecules to understand the physiology and origins of diseases. This spans genomics, epigenomics, and transcriptomics, but we are also exploring new possibilities with the metabolome, proteome and microbiome.

Translational Core

The Translational Core is dedicated to bring epidemiological research to the bench and/or bedside, and vice versa. This includes translating observations into functional studies and clinical implementations, but also taking insights from patients or experiments and testing these in large populations.
